Mission statement
- To promote, expand and to strengthen the co-operative movement in all walks of life in the Union territory of Puducherry.
- To facilitate formation of new co-operative societies for fulfilling the economic needs of their members.
- To conduct election to co-operative societies periodically to infuse democratic charter in the management of societies.
- To play a proactive role in the matter of modernizing the account keeping of the societies and train the manpower towards achieving professionalization in co-operative management.
- To conduct regular audit and supervise the affairs of co-operatives to enable the management accountable to the stakeholders.
- To facilitate successful working of the co-operative institutions in tune with the internationally recognized principles of co-operation.
- To be friend, philosopher and guide to the co-operative institutions in managing their affairs on sound lines
